Creativity & Bipolar Poster & Magazine Spreads

This was a project in my Type & Image class. The task was to choose an NPR article, and then create a poster and a couple of magazine spread designs from it. The NPR article I chose was this one, discussing the actor David Harbour, and how he lives and acts with bipolar disorder. For this project, I also utilized a research study exploring the connection between creativity and bipolar disorder, since the project required some statistics on the selected subject. Once the copy text and statistics were selected, work on the poster could begin. The poster was designed first to establish the visual language and style of the project before working on the magazine spreads. Once the poster was completed, work on the magazine layout designs could begin, with the visual style already established.
